FAQs

Below we have provided a list of our frequently asked questions.

Treatments – Permanent Hair Removal

What are the side effects?

A patch test will determine the correct setting for your hair and skin type. There may be short term reddening, mild burning, temporary bruising and discolouration, in very rare cases there can be blistering, these effects will pass and are not permanent.

Common Questions

Does waxing hurt?

It doesn’t tickle, but it’s very quick. Redness or a slight rash is typical, especially if it’s your first time. The more often you wax, the more your skin and hair becomes used to it – and the less it hurts.

Should I do anything before I arrive?

Drink lots of water, and eat fresh fruit and salads, for a couple of days before your visit.

What time should I arrive?

Aim to arrive 15 minutes before your treatment. If it’s your first visit, we’ll complete a quick consultation about your health so it’s really important you allow at least 15 minutes.

What should I wear?

We’re relaxed, and we want you to relax too, so wear whatever you feel comfortable in. If you’re having a pedicure, bring flip-flops to wear after your treatment to prevent smudging.

Can I book additional treatments on the day?

Our treatments are usually booked well in advance, but you never know until you ask. We will always do our best to find a therapist at late notice.

What if I have to cancel or reschedule?

Please give us 48 hours’ notice. We’re very reasonable but will need to charge you in full if you just ‘don’t turn up’. If your booking is for four or more people, please give us as much notice as possible. Fewer than four days’ notice for a group booking cancellation will result in a charge of 50%.

What if I’m late?

This limits your treatment time. If you have not already completed a consultation we will ask you to do this beforehand, so please allow at least 15 minutes before your treatment time.

Which treatment should I have?

Think about how much time you have. And whether it’s relaxation you are after, or something more specific, such as an area that needs special attention. Then browse through our treatments. The descriptions will explain each treatment and its benefits.

Can't decide? Call us and we’ll talk you through the choices so you get the best treatment for you.

I’m pregnant, so which treatments are suitable?

Up to 12 weeks we recommend you only have manicures and pedicures. After 12 weeks we recommend our range of pregnancy treatments – just ask.
